Leeds - 2-night stay

Hope someone may be able to help.

I've been lucky enough to win tickets for the Harrogate flower show and am going to make a weekend of it, so staying for 2 nights (27th and 28th April) with 2 adults and 3 kids, either in Leeds (because I've booked a free game of bowls there now) or surrounding areas.

The cheapest I've found so far is £138 for the two nights in a Leeds hotel, could really do with pushing that down to nearer the £100 mark if in anyway possible. The trouble seems to be that there's 5 of us so would need 2 rooms in a lot of places. We were going to go for Haven but it's a little too far away and would mean much more driving. We're not really fussy about what sort of accomodation.

We're also planning to go to the Forbidden Corner on the Sunday. Don't suppose there's any vouchers out there?

  • I recently stayed in a city centre travelodge for £29 (leeds vicar lane) on a friday evening.
also noticed Etap (https://www.etaphotel.com) are advertyising around the city for £32 any night., not sure where the hotel sits yet though.
or for a bit more quality, try https://www.roomzzz.co.uk leeds only at the moment, but lcd tv, cooker, fridge, leather sofa, and cheaper than most premier travelinns !

Yeh the travelodge in leeds is just down road from my house, I've never stayed the night but it looks quite nice from the outside and prices are certainly very cheap. There's a lot of construction work going on near it at the moment, building a few new blocks down that way, and a Bus lane on the road to it.

Those roomzzz are a flipping rip off! look lovely though heh

Thanks everyone. I booked Bewley's which is £69 a night and we can all stay in the one room which is good. I would have saved £5 a night in etap but we would have been split up in 2 rooms.

I'm so excited. We've got the flower show on Saturday with the tickets I won; a free game of bowls, found through the freebies board, on Saturday evening; and the Forbidden Corner which was mentioned on the Travel board booked for 10am on Sunday.

Just got to think about food now, should be able to manage an easy picnic or two from the hotel room hopefully..
