driving test in northern ireland

I have my provisional license and have been looking through the highway code and am going to get a cd-rom but I was wondering if there was any other ways of learning for the theory test, preferrably online and free?

i got this dvd/'cdrom http://www.amazon.co.uk/Driving-Test-Success-Tests-2006/dp/B000FS9OOA/ref=pd_sbs_sw_h__2/203-5072421-4602320 and to be hoenst it was invaluable and for 9.99 its not too bad. i know its not free but it really was worth the money.

You can use all the tools you want, at the end of the day it's sitting down and learning it that will get you through the test!!

My test 20 years ago lasted 8 minutes and i was asked one question because the instructor had a tummy bug, things have changed. Try http://www.2pass.co.uk/ my daughter swore by/at it.....

I did my test a couple of years ago... Google "free online theory test" and see what that comes up with. I just kept going through them over and over again until I was getting as close to top marks as possible, and it was definitely good prep for the test... Helped me learn what was in the book.
