Hey everyone,
Just wanted to say how excited I am to be going into 2013 debt free :j
My debt this year has reached it's peak but after paying off £196.91 from my credit card and £97 to my parents with today's pay check I can how breathe a sigh of relief as I enter 2013 with no debt.
My debt was something that creeped up on me over the years. Started out with maxing a small overdraft of £200, then applying for my first credit card, soon maxing out that limit of £1500, then my overdraft slowly creeping up and up over the months reaching a peak of £1700, then needing money for necessary repairs etc on my car. My debt reached a peak of around £4500 and I was getting to the point wherein could remember the last time I had been paid and it went into the positive.
Thanks to the great forums here, my determination (and a nice £1300 inheritance that had been sitting in a trust fund for 8years) I have now made my final payments to all my debt and concentrate on my future saving!
To reiterate the title of This post......

Congratulations! You've done really well.
2013 should hopefully be the year that I pay off the rest of my debt; payments on 0% cards should be completed by the summer if all goes to plan. Hopefully this time next year I'll have that same feeling as you!
What will you do to celebrate?0 -
It's such a good feeling.. Just keep thinking how next time I get paid it is all mine! Feel like have so much spare money lol.
Just need to focus on the saving now and not slip back.
