In our sons we have bought little bits as we have seen them. So far we have:
Chocolate Santa
Chocolate Coins
Crazy Foam for the bath
Cars 2 sponge car you make in bath
Little Ben Figures (reduced to £1 in Entertainer)
Little Dinosaur figures (reduced to £1 in Tesco)
Grufalo Gardening Gloves and Dinosaur Watering can (we have just redesigned our garden and given him his own flower bed/vegetable patch to grow whatever he wants in).
Toy Story Cutlery Set
Ben10 DVD
Lots of little craft bits and some little party bag fillers off of Craftycrocodiles website, there are lots of fun items on there for under £1 which we ordered at the same time as some craft supplies for christmas decorations)
There are a couple of other little bits but I cant remember them at the moment.0 -
what about those little wind up frogs or swimming men you put in the bath?
a flannel that grows when placed in water?
Mine, one year, spent ages playing with those little silicone men & bugs that you throw at the wall or window.
hawkin's bazaar http://www.hawkin.com/?gclid=CNDBi9LW9rMCFczHtAodBUwAWg is usually good for little stocking fillers.0 -
Yo-yo, lego minifigures/small sets, stickers, card game (ELC was doing christmas snap cheap), fun toothbrush (a character one), marbles, small bouncey ball (we call them power balls but not sure everyone does?!), wind up toys, choc coins, sweets, nice tree decoration, torch, gloves, hat, colouring pens/pencil/crayons, pencil sharpener, rubber, christmas cup/mug/beaker or one with his name on, kaliedescope (spelling?).
Check out the pound shops, Wilkinsons does some nice craft/art bits cheap.0 -
We've got socks/pants/vests for our 4 year olds stocking, as well as a moshi monsters tooth brush and paste. There's some pens/colouring books, a watch (not an expensive one), of course i'll have to add some chocolates or sweets! most of it sounds boring, but he's mad on things like moshi monsters and cars etc that hes's happy with things that have those on them!Mommy to Elliot (5) and Lewis (born xmas eve 11!)0

Last year just before CHristmas, Homebase reduced all of their stockingfillers to 50p and we just bought about 10 of those bits to keep DS busy on Christmas eve morning (as my family are German we celebrate on Christmas eve in the evening). They might fo the same again this year?Make £2012 in 2012 member #88

These were great, I had the stockings sorted but got some for party bag fillers, there were lots of lovely wooden toys and some were 2 in a pack for 50p.
Or what about wooden letters spelling out your child's name like the ones on this website, they could put them on their door or in their room, other ideas on here too
