Mortgage application credit cards

Just entering credit card info on the mortgage application. 2 of the cards are for business expenses in husbands name, but all work expenses go on these cards, then he puts an expense claim in, and it goes off the card. However there is always a balance and it varies, what should we put on the application?

Many Thanks

  • Been caught with that Q myself ! If the business is a Limited company you can leave It out, otherwise you must disclose these other CCs if they are in your name(s) take the average balance say, over the last 3 months for a figure. Explain their use on the application.

I've got more cards that Paul Daniels!;)

I would disclose it as it will show up on credit check but put an explanation in the additional info box

Thank you both for your replies. I will do that. Just hope that I can find an additional information box to put that in.

if you cant find it just write on the form by the credit card box I often write all over forms for my customers. As long as you tell them it is usually OK

Don't have that option, its all online. And now we have hit another problem, we don't want the amount of the AIP we managed to get a deal on the house and want 2k less. I can't change it. It never said at the start that the AIP figure was set in stone, we want less. Its all a bit of a pain at the moment.

Nationwide was quite good, but now seeing some flaws
