Hi Shellyruby
I am sure others will be along to help with the payday loan situation, but two things I noticed...
Firstly, if you want to quit smoking go and get help from the NHS, I did Champix and it worked so much better (4 or 5 failed attempts on patches etc). Cheaper on prescription or even free if you are entitled to that. Patches in the shops are expensive and in my opinion don't work.
Secondly, I understand you not wanting to get rid of the rescue cats. They will all have a "backstory" and you were their second chance - I have a rescue dog and nothing would make me part with him, I would sell my kids first!! The food/litter etc is managable BUT, you have 6 of them and no insurance - what happens if one of them needs the vet or has an accident (cats and cars...)? I know it would be alot to insure 6 of them but you need a plan for this that is not a payday loan. Ideally you could "self insure" by saving a fund for this purpose but I know when things are tight you won't be able to do this. I would have a chat with your local PDSA or RSPCA or other rescue and see what would happen if a situation arose. You need to know what you would do that would not result in you getting further in debt, they will be supportive if it means 6 cats staying in their homes.
What are you studying at college?LBM:1/1/12Debts @ LBM:£43,546  Debts now: £9,486  78% PAIDFound YNAB 1/2/14 - the best thing EVER!0 -
Didn't notice the cats. We have two and it can be done cheap. Aldi food and litter is decent quality and very cheap.Debt @ 17/11/12: £12,017 :embarasse. Hoping to be debt free by June 2014

Could you try a credit union to get out of the Wonga trap, as it is a relative smallish amount and at least you only have one, don't worry plenty been there x
No experience of Wonga (I was more QQ!) but have heard that a long term plan can be achieved - not sure if you need to default first tho I'm afraid0 -

What are you studying at college?
i will definalty email the rspca regarding that..with the others.i love them all dearly..thank you for that,
ive gone back to college to sit my english gcse..i left school at 15 to worl with my dad,my parents split up and i ran a bit wild for a couple of years,.so didnt get any exams..i work as a supervisor part time in retail and want to get my english.then my maths and then look at what else i can study for to work in the caring profession..id really like to people with addiction problems or something in that field, only really have debt addiction history lol..it may take me years but gcses are the 1st step..am enjoying it..was scary going back after years.
i looked at the champix[have also failed with patches in the past, but am a bit of a worry guts/hypocondriach and will be scared of side effects, will talk myself into having all of them as had depression years ago.
never give up giving up is my motto.well done for giving up,how long has it been.0 -
