New relationship, xmas gift ideas?

I need ideas for gifts for my boyfriend.
We have only been together a couple of months but have known each other longer.
I don't want to spend a fortune but I do want our first xmas to be special!
And to complicate matters, both of our birthdays are not long after xmas and so I want to get him something for that too as we both usually end up with joint presents off people.

How about a night away somewhere in a hotel....that would make it special and would be something you would remember.....doesn't have to be a 5* or anything....just somewhere nice that means something to you both."More people would learn from their mistakes if they weren't so busy denying them." - Harold J. What about a bracelet or something, you can get him a somewhat in-expensive manly silver bracelet and its something that he can always wear and think of you (if the relationship continues)Bankruptcy Supporters Club No.1790

I'd go with this.
Plan something special you can do together.
First Valentine's Day with my now hubby, I planned a full day - we went to Vinopolis (wine tasting place in London) then for dinner then a show. I made up a "Your Itinerary" document and printed it out to give to him.
Just a couple of months in, wherever you live there must be some attractions nearby or something else you'd both like to do together?0 -

He doesn't really do man-jewellery and I have never seen him wear a watch. I don't know if that is because he doesn't have a watch, or if its because he doesn't do watches!
We are going away to London for the weekend for our birthdays so I was thinking of booking some things to do while we are there as birthday treats, but then he does like to plan things so I don't want to take that away from him.
Doesn't help with Xmas though!
I was thinking of doing lots of small presents that I can do a treasure hunt for him to find.
So far I have got him a woopee cushion...0
