Finsbury Park, London - FreeFit training sessions every Saturday 2.30pm

I really want to share with you fellow money savers a great find- free fitness classes every Saturday afternoon at 2.30pm in Finsbury Park, north London. Why pay loads of dosh to join a soulless, sterile gym when you can work out in the fresh air with some like-minded people?

The sessions are run by a brilliant local personal trainer called Shamir (who runs a training studio called MoreFit) who is strict but fair (!). He believes that exercise plays a key role in a healthy and happy lifestyle, and he gives up his time for free in order to bring it to people who might otherwise not be able to afford it.

It's suitable for all fitness levels- depending on numbers, the group is split up into 'beginners', 'intermediates' and 'advanced', and all participants do a mix of circuit training on the grass. You can choose to push yourself super hard or drop out if certain exercises if you're knackered out.

It's great fun, and the group is always very friendly and welcoming (even the uber-fit marathon runners!). Do come and meet everyone on Saturday (or any Saturday!)- we meet at 2.30pm at the Stroud Green Road entrance by the community centre in Finsbury park.

Bring water and (as it's winter!) some warm clothing/gloves.
