Hello all

I have been going through some financial difficulty and I am now in process of having lawrence charlton act on my behalf who have been brilliant might I add.

My main concern is from speed credit who have now passed my debt onto northern debt recovery - greg campbell.

I have received a email from them today advising that as I defaulted on my repayment plan they will be sending round recovery agents to obtain payments aka bailiffs? I thought they couldnt do this unless they had obtained a CCJ or something?

They cannot force their way in can they?
Can they enter if a door is unlocked if they are not proper bailiffs?

Nervous as I live alone and wouldn't know what to do if they come knocking? They also state they will take 9 times the value of the outstanding? I have nothing of value and I am worrying they will take anything and everything?

Sorry if there is already a thread based on these guys I cannot locate it?

No they can't use bailiffs without a CCJ that you have defaulted payments on.

They are full off hot air and daft threats.

Well, the OFT are threatening to get tough on payday lenders.

Speed credit (aka MCO Capital ltd) had their consumer credit licence revoked in August - http://www.oft.gov.uk/news-and-updates/press/2012/69-12

Not sure what impact that has in terms of repaying the debt...?

But, it might be worth chucking it at Marshall Hoares!

Independant - however brilliant Lawrence Charlton may have been, they have taken the first two payments of your DMP which means your creditors have not seen a penny. They will now take 17.5% of everything you give them from now on.
