Iceland and turkeys!

Options
Hi there, out of curiosity, does anybody happen to know the price of frozen turkeys in Iceland this year? I've looked on their website and can't find the info! Just thought I would ask before I go to our local one! Cheers in advance:beer:

  • Hi, try Morrisons Frozen, they are cheaper, and unlike the Iceland birds which I think are French, Morrisons are British!

    Their small is only £9.00 for 2.6 - 3.8kg
  • Ir's probably worth mentioning that frozen/fresh/free-range turkey prices for most other supermarkets can be found in this article don't trust their maths though. Although their statement that Morrisons is cheapest at £9 for a standard frozen turkey is technically correct when buying a whole bird they are only looking at the total price of the bird not the price per kg even though they published that too. The reality is that you would get an extra kg if you paid £9.99p in Aldi & would get an extra 400g-1.6kg (depending which size turkey you chose) for £9.99 from Lidl based upon the prices/weights published in this article.

Just clicked on an Iceland ad. saying they've reduced their turkeys

To make your Christmas even easier we've carved £2 off the price of our Turkeys.

Frozen Small Whole Turkey 2.4kg-4 kg
    Serves 4 to 6 people
    Now only £8
    Frozen Extra Large Turkey Crown
    Serves 8 to 10 people
    Now only £13

  • Hi

Did anyone have a turkey crown frozen from Iceland last year and if so what did you think of it. I have just priced one for 10-12 people and its £14, the similar one in Sainsburys is £26. We need to buy two so there is a big difference in price but as its for my two sons and their families and us I don't want to get the cheaper ones if they aren't as nice.HELP

We had the exact one you mention and it was lovely and juicy even the next day for a buffet.
Used the same iceland crown for the last 6 years.

It was the one in the tin foil not the bag.

Just been informed by the mrs that they had none in the foil so it is a bagged one this year but should be the same quality i presume.
