Changing jobs during mortgage application

Hi,
My mortgage application has been approved in principle, and I am just working through all the forms etc. However, I am also going to interviews regarding a job change. This is for similar jobs - same industry, same kind of role, on at least as much money.
I was not worried about this before, but have learnt that my mortgage application could fall through if I change jobs. Then again, I've read that as long as the job is in the same industry on the same money it might not be an issue.
Obviously if someone makes me an offer I need to know that if I say "yes" then this answer is compatible with my mortgage application....
Thanks in advance!

If the occupation is in the same industry (which you have a decent work hisotry in), and the role is identical or similar to what you are doing now, for the same or more money (pause for breath !!), - then yes the UWs will generally ok it (subject to a jitter on any probabtionary period !).
Also as this is a material change to the application, you do have to advise them of it - IF you get the job before completion ...... just going for interviews means not much until you've actually changed jobs.
So, just an idea, go for your interviews, but delay any hading of notices in and commencement of your new role until you have completed ...
Hope this helps

Yes, I thought about delaying handing in notices etc until completion - if it ever came to that and I actually got an offer. That is one option - but if that might put the employer off and force them to look elsewhere (due to the time to completion) then that might cause a rethink, and in that case I'd tell the lender.
I reckon if I'm a couple of weeks, maybe up to a month off completion this might be ok, but the longer than went on the worse it would look. It's a tricky one. I reckon I'm a month off completion basically - not too much to ask for an employer who came in with an offer right now?
I'm also going to ask my solicitor what they think. Probationary periods seem to be the norm these days, so I'm hoping that wouldn't matter.
All very confusing.0
