Hi
I have got one of these filters in my hoover, http://www.buyspares.co.uk/product.pl?pid=1227382&utm_source=google&utm_medium=base&utm_campaign=products&gclid=CPffnIeB8rMCFePHtAodnAQAxA
It has got really dirty and I was wondering how I could wash it.
Running it under a tap will take hours
Is it ok to put in the washer?
Many thanks

I'm not sure I'd be brave enough to put it in the washer! (And I normally throw anything in there
) but my cleaner's filter (Dyson) gets blown through with an airline and the one in my Mum's (Vax) gets brushed with a softish hand brush, and then blown with the airline. The airline works wonders - although looks a little odd when you're standing there in the middle of a cloud of dust (and you have to be careful which way the wind's blowing!) If you can't find a "friendly" garage with an airline, you could always try the cans of compressed air you can get - around £5.00 ish.
