Giving a DCA the flick!!

Back for more advice.
I helped hubs with a ppi claim against Egg, which I'm pleased to say was upheld.
This debt was part of a DAS (we're in Scotland), and was in the hands of Global Arrow DCA.
The ppi payment wiped out the entire Egg debt with a surplus left over
.
Sooo, my question is - should we contact the DCA to let them know the debt has been repaid - or do we just leave well alone?

Don't try to keep up with the Joneses - Drag them down to your level - it's cheaper .

Do you have written proof the debt was paid? If you do, guard it with your life. DCAs are not known to give up easily and sometimes do pursue people over and over again for long settled debts.
if you have written proof, I wouldnt waste my time informing them until they ask. Then send them a copy of that proof and tell them in polite but firm Anglo Saxon to go forth and multiply.Debt Free! Long road, but we did it

Good result, Miss Poohs! :T
Now you need to get that debt out of the DAS - otherwise the payments distributor will just keep paying Egg/the DCA every month
It would be a good idea for your OH to speak to his money adviser, or the DAS Administrator, asap to sort things out.0 -
Hi CC how are you? I'm in the process of doing just that - hubs is still a dead loss with that kinda thing. To be honest his whole DAS needs reviewed, so I may as deal with it as a whole - lots of photo coping to do. JxDon't try to keep up with the Joneses - Drag them down to your level - it's cheaper .
