work programme

Hi,
I have been on the programme for 3 weeks now but the only thing I have done is register there and I sign all the papers they told me to sign.
I am waiting to hear about a job, had the interview 2 weeks ago, fixed the interview myself.
If I get the job I would really be helped with the back to work grant from the jobcentre.
Do you have to tell them where you will be working to get that?
I would like to take back the consent I sign with the work programme, I dont want them to contact my employer or have my employer signing a confirmation that I work there.
If I dont take back the consent, what kind of contact can my advisor have with my employer?
Thanks

The jobcentre ask you who is employing you as far as I know the work programme need not know. The work programme do not contact your employer but I was told they never do.
You will get the back to work grant as that is from the jobcentre not the work programme provider and you can retract permission any time in writing, but there are things you can get from the work programme like £30 towards new work clothes and such.0 -
The BDC pay the back to work grant so, as long as you qualify, they will pay this provided you state you are moving into employment. The WP only get paid on sustained job outcomes so they will want to speak to your new employer to confirm you have moved into employment, they then claim this as an outcome and sit back and wait for the cash to role in.
So yes they will be keen to contact the employer, big financial reward for them.0 -

Sorry but both WP Providers and JCP can legally share info regarding JSA claimants. So if the WP provider believes a claimant has signed off into work then they can legitimately ask the JCP for any employment info.
The only way, as far as I can see, for a claimant to guarantee not to have the WP provider contact the employer is not to tell anyone and simply to cease claiming JSA citing 'ceasing claiming'. That would mean that the claimant would not receive any 'back to work benefits' like the 4 week run on of HB0 -
Withdraw your consent to contact your Employer in writing and ask for confirmation that your WP providers have received it. You have the right to do this
One word of warning though if you need a bus pass or new clothes for your Job the JC do not pay it as you are a WP Customer and after you withdraw your consent it is unlikely that your provider willThe World come on.....0
