Setting temperature on health grill

Help wanted please. I have just purchased a Salter digital health grill (model SDP-HG1SS) but the manual gives no guidance on setting the temp control for various foods. The default setting is 155 degrees - with 15 degree increments to 230 degrees.
I want it for chicken breasts, sausages, kidneys, bacon, gammon steaks etc.
I have not found any charts on the web and Salter cannot advise as this model is now discontinued. It seems well built.
I bought this on eBay for £16 delivered - bargain!! Play.com has it at £30+ and Tesco Direct at £59.

can you not think of this as just heat? and heat the grill to what you would normally cook the food at? High, Medium and Low? at least it would give you a starting point - until some Salter owners come along and advise you!
