Great deal -bought some yesterday for Xmas pressie for OH!0 -
Port counts as a fortified wine. So it is included in the " buy 6 bottles or more and get 25% off" promotion. Takes the price down to £5.25 per bottle!"Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0

Couldn't think what to get my 67 y/o father for his birthday, I was thinking "bottle of wine I guess" but this was a much better looking gift.
Looks nicely expensive (coupled with a 99p gold bottle bag...) and in fact it is quite expensive at £14 when it's not on half price.
Pretty bottle with little paper labels and seal and that. I think it would be a nice Christmas gift or addition to a hamper.
Bought one for dad, who was suitably impressed.
Posh looking port."There is no substitute for time."

It might LOOK posh but you're paying at least a pound more for a bottle of good port than you need to!0

Got some!
Tried it!
No different than any other cheaper brands!0 -
I think the £13.99 is way OTT, but I'll be buying 1 bottle for hubby.

Aldi port is £5.99 all year round, lovely drop of port.
Ignore the 50% off branding on any seasonal products. They will have been at the higher price at a time of year when no one was buying the product. Tescos have done it with Turkeys. V expensive in August, 'half' price by Christmas!
The new supermarket pricing guidelines may get rid of this stupidity.
Remember an item costs what it costs, the saving is meaningless.0 -
Yes but Aldi port doesn't quite look like the nice gift that this does really"There is no substitute for time."

A better deal is Cockburn's Special Reserve @ £11.00/litre in Tescos. With the 25% discount for buying 6+ bottles of wine that equates to £8.25/litre which equates to £5.77 per 70cl bottle. This has been my favourite port for 52 years. :j0
