£17116.79 - £7475 allowance = 9641.79
20% of 9641.79 = 1928.35
So it would seem you owe 1p in tax.0 -
Interestingly, this income figures is more thanFor original job one (which I've always had but with the reduced hours) it is total for year of £9,108, with £325.60 deducted.
suggests.Job 1 was £1,100 PCM, dropping to £552, in June '11.
Might be worth checking your payslips to see if they add up.0 -
it will be different for this year. the tax code for this year is 8105. If you are using all of this on the job where you only earn £500/month and paying all BR on the other job, you are paying about £35 too much tax each month.
Speak to HMRC and ask them to split your tax code for this year. If you are only going to earn £6000 frim the first job then ask them to put that much of your tax rfree allowance on that job for this year and the remainder on the other job. Then next year, you can just use all of your allowance on the job you get more money from (the one where you increased your hours).0
