The only thing that links the goose fat with bearnaise sauce is the colour. Is that Asda's new policy - substitute items of a similar colour.

Ok apple squash has been substituted with the green Dettol!

Last week they gave me mushy peas instead of chick peas:( Fortunatly I found them & refused to accept, personally I don't fancy mushy peas hummas. This is one of the reasons I won't do an online shop for Xmas as I always seem to get 3 or 4 subs & would be worried about the xmas shop.

I am just wondering how I would roast potatoes this Sunday for myself with Bernaise sauce lol, they have several tinned varieties as well so dont know how they come up with that. I bet they walked round for ages looking for it in the chiller and just thought sod it that'll do.

haha wow interesting choice. I mean If I substituted it although it still isn't the same clearly I'd at least swap a fat for a fat? So a block of beef dripping. It's still wrong but it's a lot closer to the mark. :rotfl:
Maybe they didn't want to give you the other brand as it's more expensive..

If it is more expensive then they will give me it at the stated price for the one that is not in stock.
