How does solar generation in England compare with Scotland

England tends to get better summers than us up here in Scotland and I wonder if that is reflected in generation.
Probably something you cannot compare someone will say as so many variables.
I have generated since install 9 months ago 2834kwh.
12 panels south facing,8 panels south-east facing,4KWP system,pitch 40 degrees,Aurora inverter & location is sunny Glasgow.

Hiya BB, if you go to this thread, post #1, section 5, and have a play with PVGIS, you'll see a general difference (top to bottom) of about 20%.

    Mart.
Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 28kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

For general PV advice please see the PV FAQ thread on the Green & Ethical Board.
  • I am getting 3387 vs 3987 for Glasgow vs Plymouth for the same 4kW south facing system using PV-Sol design software and local historical climatic data.

Quite interesting for me, not run the data that far north before. You should do:
    50-60 in dec
    60-70 in jan
    155-165 in feb
    300 or so in apr

I would say from that data you should be very pleased with your system! What panels are they?
