Yup - thanks
Unfortunately, these are now your debts as you've effectively transferred the responsibility of them onto your B/card which only you are legally responsible for paying.
It cannot be included in her DMP - what not sure what the DMP company is thinking of?
I don't think B/card would be happy to accept token payments when it's not even for that person! - and it would trash your credit rating for 6 years
Sorry .....Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Can your mum afford to pay off the minimum repayments on that card + a little extra?.
If not and 123 DEbt Recovery as going to contact your Barclaycard then I would imagine it WILL effect your credit rating.
If I were you, I would make sure the cc is paid every month.
Get you mum to pay you personally what she can afford and keep a tally until she has repaid you.
Can you afford to pay off her cc debt yourself?. If you can then it is much better, then she can just repay you.
Think that is the safest way forward.
And I know it was VERY kind of you, but in future don't EVER take on anyones debt in your name xx0 -
As the credit card is in your name, you now own the debt - NOT your mother. You're therefore responsible for paying it off.
Providing you keep up the payments, you're overall credit score should be OK but DO keep up the payments otherwise it will affect you & not your mother.0 -

Wrong.
This debt now belongs to the OP not the mother.
The DM DMP cannot contact Barclaycard as there is no debt in the mothers name.DEBT FREE AND PROUD'Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt'0 -
Also - get her to get in touch with one of the debt charities (contact info in the sticky at the top of the board).
There's no need for her to pay for her DMP - it can be done for free & the extra money will go towards clearing her debts quicker.Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

And you too. National Debtline will give you informed advice about where you are in all of this, who owes what and whether you could replace BC in her DMP.BSC No 248
