Volunteering on Christmas Day

I am looking into offering to help in the community on Christmas Day.

Would anyone have any suggestions of organisations that would use volunteers on this day?

    If you Google "volunteering bureau NI" there are a few results. They might be best placed to know where help is needed locally.

    I'm not sure whether all charities are required to have Access NI checks carried out on their volunteers and if they are then I don't think there is enough time to get this in place before then. Again the volunteering bureaux will know.

    Any homeless project, Salvation army normally put a lunch on and are looking for volunteers often.
    make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
    and we will never, ever return.

    Why volunteer for just one day? There are organisations which would be delighted to receive your help any day especially if your services are offered sincerely and with genuine respect for the particular organisation involved.
