smelly jar lids!

morning all,

recently read a tip on here to get rid of smells in jar lids so you can re-use

them
anyone remember what it was please?:A

i've tried vinegar/bicarb etc
LIVE SIMPLY * GIVE MORE * EXPECT LESS * BE THANKFUL

  • what sort of smells ?? I always wash in very hot water thoroughly any jars and lids as my DDs friend makes lots jams and marmalades, in exchange for all I can give her she keeps me in marmalade during the winter

    steralising tablets and boiling water, i would suggest.
    Opinion on everything, knowledge of nothing.
  • I don't reuse any jars or lids that have had anything too smelly in them such as picked items or spicy sauces. I find this cuts down on smelly lids.
