And you think advice from a random group of unknown people on the net who no things about your detailed circumstances will be better? At least you can sue a regulated advisor. Hopefully the results of the quote with a few simple calculations on your part should make the comparison pretty clear.
LOL I was looking for some kind of idea of the areas of what i need to look at before i start going down the route of advice on a professorial basis.

What i am mindful of is getting bad independent advice because as we all know this does happen.
Under 1% of complaints at the FOS are about IFAs and most are rejected by the FOS. IFAs dominate the pension advice/retail distribution channels yet have a tiny fraction of complaints. So, yes, it can happen but statistically, the odds are poor when you consider the millions of transactions IFAs handle every year.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
