Advent Candle

Does anybody know a bargain shop selling advent candles? I've had one for years, usually one I've squirreled away the previous year after buying it in the sales. I seem to of run out and don't want to pay John Lewis prices.

Thanks for any help.

Have you tried the 99p shop? Not that I've seen them in there, I haven't been in recently, but I'm flagging them up as they do sometimes have good candle finds this time of year. Last year, I saw some beautiful white slightly sparkley snowball candles in an upmarket garden centre near to where we live. They were £6.99 each. I only wanted a couple to finish off a couple of Christmas hampers I'd made for friends so I thought that was too expensive. A couple of days later, I found what looked like EXACTLY the same candles in the 99p shop for......99p each! Could be worth a look. Or you could try to invent some sort of advent candle idea yourself. I'm planning to have 24 tealights (cos I happen to already have loads of them in) arranged along my mantlepiece. I'm going to write the date on the metal holders, arrange some greenery (from the garden) around them & then I'm going to light one every evening so we can count the days left till Father Christmas comes!

Charity shops tend to have them as part of their christmas stock.
