IPA Cancelled!

Hi all, I had confirm that my IPA has been cancelled. I was told to pay an amount per month as well as my tax. I sent in details of some increased bill and got confirmation to say the IPA has ended. Brilliant news!

I still have to pay Moonbeaver my tax. Am I right in thinking that I only have to do that until April? Am I also right in thinking that I no longer have to tell the OR about changes in my income etc? Or do I still need to tell them until I have been discharged?

All the email said was that it has been cancelled so although its good news I am not to sure how good! :)

Thanks in advance.

I could be wrong but until you're discharged, any changes especially in your income, you have to tell the OR.

    Congrats btw!

That's brilliant news! No IPA :T I never had one, and within WEEKS of the 12 month discharge, our income went up quite a bit...lucky :D

I would have thought though, that you probably do need to inform the OR about any change in income. Just wondered... did they say *why* the IPA ended?
  • My IPA was fairly low anyway so when I sent them my increased bills it took up my surplus income I guess, or took it to below £20 which is the threshold I think.

I am about to voluntery surrender my house though so I was hoping to no longer have to tell then changes to my income and rent a cheeper house. It just means I will have to rent a house to the same value as my mortgage, as I may as well, and then down size later. Or wait until I am discharged which should be July at the latest.

Yes, you still have a duty to inform the OR of increases in income until you are discharged.

Yes, any change of income or expenditure needs to be reported to the OR until you are discharged.
