Solicitors Letter...

Im sorry if this seems like a really silly question.
My solicitors have asked for details of where my gifted deposit is coming from, not an issue given names and addresses etc.
Called the solicitors and asked what the letter will say as my grandparents are coming up for 90yrs old and want to forewarn them as they can get confused and flustered.
The lady from solicitors was nice enough, but kinda asked why i wanted to know like i was being suspicious or something!
Anyway anyone experience of this? Will it just be asking them to confirm the gift? or will it be a long drawn out form for them to fill in?
Thanks :-)

They will normally be asked to write to the solicitor confirming the money is a gift, there will be no repayments and they will have no interest in the property.I am a mortgage broker. Okay thanks for this, we are hoping to exchange next week, so if the solicitors need this letter from my grands there may be a delay. things take a little bit longer than normal with them these days0 -
We had to provide a letter like this, you could write the letter out for your grandparents to sign, or to copy out and sign if they prefer.0
