Where can I buy Buoyancy Aid for my 1 yr old?

I have a son who has just turned one. I would like to buy one of those lifejacket type of things that has the buoyancy (is that how you spell it?) aids built into it.

I had a look in Mothercare and they were over £20 which seemed quite pricey to me.

Many thanks.

My 2 Boys have the 'Floaties' Float suits. My youngest is 22 months and not confident enough to just wear the suit though - he needs armbands as well. My eldest was about 2 and a half before before he could just swim with the Floatie suit. I got my Floatie suits from JJB Sports, but they were about £20, however they do seem to keep their value as I was going to buy one of e-bay.
I saw some 'Zoggs' Float suits in Tesco the other day, and I think they were about £15? ElC also sell them, but again they are £20+

Once your Child is big enough to swim confidently with just the float suit on they are great!

  • got zoggs one for 1 year daughter old on ebay. there are always lots on there. i sold mine on again as it wasnt really working for her and seemed uncomfotable. she's 2 now, we just use arm bands and she's happy to swim on her own.

they had them in TKMaxx last week. I got one for £10. I also bought one there last summer also for £10. always worth a look! my older son has afloaties jacket, then I bought Zoggs and the latest purchase is Bema. I think floaties is the best fit, haven't tried the bema one yet, but looks similar to zoggs.

  • Ask if you can put a card on the information board at your local pool. There are loads of mums with out grown items items who have no one to pass things onto and would be only too pleased to declutter to someone who could use them.

Got my wee girl one from early learning centre it was £25 but totally worth the money. She loves it and is very confident when wearing it.
As others have said I would try ebay.
    Good luck!

woolworths have this one for boys and this one for girls but you don't seem to be able to add them to you basket on the website at the moment, but I saw them in store today, I thought £8 was good but they didn't have DD's size!!
