How much do you budget for your holiday?

Working on my budget just now but don't know when it comes to holidays how much to set aside each month.

Having never really been abroad with my 2 boys before it's something that I'd quite like to start doing but don't know what would technically be a sufficient amount each month to save.

What do you all budget for holidays?

Hi, we usually buy flights and accommodation separately. This year we have got flights to Spain in August for £400 for 4 of us. Accommodation this year is free as a friend is lending us their villa for the week. For spending money we allow £100 a day, then if we have money left over thats great.

Morning youngmum I usually do the same as tiff, i have save a lot of money on my holidays in the past by booking the flights and accom separately. This year I booked 4 flights to majorca in sept for £400.00 ish and the s/c accom for 2weeks was £770. I have prices up the cost to go with a travel agent and i have saved about £400. If you get in early with your flights when they first release them you can get really cheap flights. I usually book my flights then look at all the different review site on hotels and appartments. It usually helps if you go to a travel agent and see if the hotel or app you want is in a brochure, having made the mistake the first year of booking a really nice hotel in Salou but it wasnt in any english brochures not a problem for us but it was for the kids who wanted to play with other children but couldnt communicate with them. Hope you have a lovely holiday and find somewhere nice to go, i can recommend Majorca its got lovely beaches and warm seas. Roll on September Majorca here we come :j
