    Mortgage-free Glee!
Am stuck at home with bad back, so NSD at least! Divided washing powder between two boxes and added washing soda to each - doubles the amount in stock for a few extra pence ! persuaded OH to use line rather than drier - but with this weather the drier would have been criminal anyway!

    Think twice before spending anything!

    Today I have:

    * Got a lift to & from work so no bus fare
    * Did some washing which is now out on the line drying (am loving this sunshine for getting clothes dry quickly!)
    * Set up a few free additions on the Vodafone website for the FREE PAYG sim and the FREE phone I now have (did I mention I scored a FREE phone? :D).

These additions were free weekend calls/texts if you spend a qualifying amount the week before. If I have spent £2.50 in the qualifying week beforehand I get free texts all weekend! A good freebie to have if you needed to make calls or whatever anyway I think.

I also signed up for the 'stop the clock' feature which means talking for an hour and only paying for the first three minutes. I wouldn't use it over the home phone as it would still be 90p BUT if I was out & about weekends or evenings and needed to make that call, it would be good to know the clock stopped at 3 mins.

The other thing I did was sign up for their m-pay which I had never heard of before but seems like a good idea for small purchases online - basically they take it off your credit balance instead of your bank account.

    * Banked £5.77 of loose change (better in the bank than in a pot methinks).

    * Started to look into 0% balance transfers to see if I can find a CC that will allow me to pay off overdraft...! It's just a thought at this stage.
Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.
    Sainsburys Loan: Cleared July 2010
Credit cards: AMEX Airmiles Card: direct debit set to clear balance monthly

well I managed to make a profit from buying a cup of coffee ( I know buying coffee is not very MSE but hear me out :o )

I went up to the counter and ordered a decaf and paid then I noticed a £1 coin on the floor - after looking around to see if anybody was looking I picked it up :p but they didnt have any decaf so they gave me a refund and a free cup of decaf tea - so got cup of tea for free and a £1 profit :D
