Mortgage after getting a new job

Hello
My partner is currently at Uni (due to finish in May). She has been working part time at the workplace we worked at for 3 years full time before going to Uni.
When she gets a full time job, would we be able to get a mortgage straight away, or would we need to wait x amount of months before we would be accepted?

Some lenders will accept an application from someone who has not yet started, if they have a written offer and a start date.
Some lenders will accept an application from someone in a probationary period.
Some lenders have a minimum period of employment.
There are obviously more in the last category than there are in the first, so, chances are, the longer she is employed, the better your mortgage deal might be...I am a mortgage broker. Depends on the lender. I managed to get one 2 months after starting a job.
Some will do it straight away, some require 3, 6 or 12 months in employment before they accept the application.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
