I have a question for /Amazon Kipling though - how come the black shade bags are hardly EVER cheap? It's the only colour bag I buy.0 -

Probs because it's generally a very popular colour (not just for kipling fans).0 -
Yes the Madhouse looks like a satchel sort - but lovely and big.Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day. -- Sally Koch0

And the zip bit is to make the bag wider or narrower so you can fit more or less in it. I think it's actually for students so they can fit books files laptops whatever in it. It would make a good hand luggage weekend bag to fit overspill luggage into. Inside it has two compartments and a small zipped purse compartment. Hope that makes sense - don't mind if you have any more questions!

I like the look of this but it sounds like it would be too big for a normal everyday bag - so I'm wondering how it would do me for work (any excuse to buy :rotfl:).
The reviews do say it's great as a school bag as it can fit A4 folders etc. I'm currently using a satchel style bag from Argos to carry my work files, plus flask and sarnies. With summer arriving I need to fit a desk fan in there as well. (I work part time and we hot desk so I can't leave the fan at work or it would go missing). It's not a full size fan, it's about half the size of a normal desk fan - imagine the size of a hairdryer with a diffuser maybe. Do you reckon it would fit that lot when fully expanded?0
