Amazon are currently selling the Fairfax in Caffe Latte for £28 :T

Yes I was looking at that but I thinkI'd like a more vibrant colour as I have some beige ones already - thoguh its a good chance tog et a Fairfax at a bargain price so I am tempted!

  • Well I have just received the large Sumida bag & I am very pleased with it, brilliant size for travelling & for £27 it's excellent value for money for a Kipling. I originally ordered it in Ash Grey for myself but on reading reviews, realised it could be unisex. My partner will now have the Grey and I will await the Carnation Pink one for myself :j:j

I have a Machida which I love but the strap has frayed very badly. I e-mailed Kipling and their products have a 2 year warranty. They do need a copy of the receipt but of course this is simple to do when you buy from Amazon. So back it goes for repair or replacement. Good service I think:T

If the Caffe Latte Fairfax is too light for you I have found one in warm grey - £28.91 - looks more brown to me - ordered to look at anyway.

Just bought a Chezza bag from ebay (price too good to be true!) - says genuine but knowing my luck will be fake and will have to put in a claim. Any tips on how to know if they are genuine or not?
No buying toiletries challenge - possibly for most of 2011,2012,2013,2014,2015!

Sumpqueen - good to get a bargain on Ebay - I always find them expensive on there. Just looked - it does seem a great bargain - but then they are overprices I think at full price.

I'm sure I read to check the stitching on the round logo - genuine ones will be perfect - there was something else too.

    Found this from Ehow:
      • 1Look for the plush monkey mascot in the form of a keychain. Discount the bag as a fake if it is missing this key detail, as almost every Kipling product has one, aside from small wallets, makeup clutches and limited-edition bags.

      • 2Examine the monkey mascot's left arm; a genuine Kipling bag will have a Kipling name tab sewn to it, whereas counterfeit bags often have the tab sewn directly onto the body of the bag.

      • 3 Scrutinize the coloration of the round Kipling logo on the front of the bag; a genuine bag's logo will be nearly exactly the same color of the bag, while logos of inauthentic bags are of a very different color than the body of the bag.

      • 4Look for a white label inside the bag that states the color, the product code and the Kipling name; every Kipling bag made since 2003 has this label.

    :)

Also Fakes seem to be made in 'wrong' fabric colourways. & the shoulder strap is never Kipling Logoed.
Plus zips should match fabric colourway
And the dodgy fake monkeys :p
    And the strange styles :p

Once you own a 'couple' of Kiplings you get to know a fake by sight ;)
