Lots of colours and comes with a fluffy or silver monkey :D

Going to go and search DDs room for one she stole from me, haven't seen her use it lately so am going to steal it back and see if she notices.

In a nutshell they are very much like the Mary Poppins carpet bag in what they do ;)

Just received my Fairfax from Amazon. You know on the front pocket with the phone slot? Where that large pocket is sewn onto the main body of the bag, in the vertical bits at each side you can see a little bit of the lining. On my other Fairfax bags all of the lining is tucked out of sight so all you can see is the colour of the bag, but on this one on both sides there is a thin strip of lining colour. It's not a big deal but it just doesn't look right to me. There are also a couple of bits of thread where the stitching has ended, right on the front of the bag so it looks obvious.

I feel like I'm being fussy but somehow it just doesn't look as well made as my previous ones. Do you think this is a good enough reason to ask Amazon to exhange it?

Also noticed the label inside states made in Bangladesh but the one I compared it with said made in China.

Well now I'm in a quandry. Received the replacement Farifax from Amazon. I still have the first as I wanted to compare them side by side before deciding which one to return. The replacement is actually worse than the first!

My original moan was about the lining being visible under the seam stitching where the front pocket is stiched on to the main body of the bag... well on the first one it was visible for a couple of inches on both sides of the pocket. On the replacement it's visible right the way down the seam on one side and not at all on the other side.

This one is also made in Bangladesh so I can only assume they are trying to save money and have opened a new factory with really poor quality. :(

I think I'll end up keeping the first one after all because I do like the colour, but it's disappointing that it has these little issues, like the stitching, also on the front pocket flap on the first one the stitching is tied off in the centre of the flap and also the Kipling badge seems to have a little mark on each side. It's just not up to the quality of previous ones.

Has anyone else bought one recently with these issues? It's the Flash Blue.

Thats a shame - you could always try ordering a third for good measure - oh it doesn't look as they are thee in that colour now.

Not had one from there myself but I've got one due soon - its been on wait list with Amazon for ages so wonder if that will be make in Bangladesh too?

As they are always so keen on quality stitching and things though it might be worth taking some pictures and emailing them to Kipling to show the bad quality.

Yes, I thought about that myself. Not too sure how to contact Kipling directly though. I'm also a bit surprised that no-one else has had this problem. I can't believe there are only 2 defective bags in the world and I happened to get sent them both?

It's still in stock (though the price has gone up), but to be honest I've got no confidence that if I order a third it will be any better.

Yes, I posted about it earlier in the thread. Mine was in the Expresso Brown, which I returned (although that wasn't why I returned it).
