Forgive me if I speak heresy but how waterproof and or robust are those zips?
I am not noted for tender handling of handbags...

I find the zips excellent quality and have had no problems. Regarding waterproof - I would say get one with a flap if you fear water entering but I have not had any problems.

  • I've just ordered the Kipling Nelis purse in expresso brown for £19.10 instead of £32. Plus with signing upto Amazons email for clothing & shoes I got an extra 20% off. Total with free P&P: £15.28 :D

Can you recommend possible Kiplings that will accommodate a cased kindle plus cabling & maybe space for a paperback as well? As I'm intrigued by this alternate universe, but be darned if I boldly go without a good book!

Hi I love my defea(s) which holds my ipad Filofax and large brownie wallet easily.
Also the faifax which will hold the ipad but a tad snug, I'm sure it would easily manage the kindle

Ps both have shoulder straps and optional cross body strap

My Kipling Nani bag came today - picture in post above (2705).

Bigger than expected - room for camera in one front pocket adn either phone or purse in the other.

Like the little dangle charm instead of the fluffy monkey.

Not really a grey person myself but sometimes its good to have a change.

I have just checked my amazon account and I have had my current hubei bag for nearly 2 years and it looks in the same condition now as it did then and I have certainly not been very careful with it. I have used it daily and it is constantly stuffed with school letters, reciepts, diary, purse, phone, keys, bribery sweets for the kids etc, my littlest hangs onto it if I have my hands full so it has been pulled many time - through all this the zips have held fine and I have never had anything get wet :
I am also pretty sure they have some sort of tardis technology aswell as mine looks quite small but it holds an amazing amount.

I echo this post, they wear well and wash well.

I liked the large fairfax too but am not a fan of grab handles. Any recommendations on something a little larger than the reth but with no grab handles? I tried the Gabbie but it is a little too big.
