Think they're making up the reduced profit on pet products by increasing the cost of their cheapo scotch, £10.32 last week now increased to £11 and that's before any Government increases.

Whiskas senior cat pouches £3.89 - 25% in store today, but no advertising anywhere that I could see about the 25% off.

By my reckoning i have picked up on at least 50 prices that are now more expensive this week than last week.
I bought purina one salmon 3kg last week for my cats for £10 its now £14.49. With Tesco's lovely 25% off it's now only £10.87 a massive negative saving of 0.87p

Our local Tesco store is introducing the hand scanners shortly, bet they don't reduce prices when they no longer need the same amount of check out staff.

I ordered some sheba trays - offer is 5 for £2 and according to web site I also get 25% off too. A total saved of around £9.89 off £36 with some cat litter. Believe me, if I do not get the 25% deduction or some other problem, they will surely find out what my wrath is like!

To be fair £14-ish is the normal shelf price for this most of the time but it is quite regularly reduced to £10 a bag. So the £10.87 isn't that unusual a saving, I agree. And it's not much different from when they did the 3-for-2 offer on pet food last year.
