Debt not appearing on credit file?

Options
Hi,

I have recently looked at my Credit file on all three references and my debt:

Experian - Isn't on there so a score of 967
Exquifax - Isn't on there so also a great score
Call credit - All my debt is on there??

I don't understand and i'm looking to get a mortgage soon so am i just lucky my debt isn't on experian and equifax as i'll just use a bank who checks with them???

And my experian account is definitely active and up to date as i recently bought car insurance and that is on there?

Lucky or Unlucky?

    What exactly is missing?

You may be lucky. Or it may be a case of there being something wrong somewhere that is stopping debts showing up when they should. For example, a slightly wrong/mismatched or not complete enough address history submitted when you ordered the reports.

If debts SHOULD be on there, then there is no guarantee that they won't show to a lender checking your report. Reason being, the lender won't see the version you just have. A report will be generated "on the fly" for them based on the info they supply when checking and any known links.

  • None of my debts were on mine, nor was my IVA. I put this down to moving house on a regular basis (not planned that way). I still complied with the IVA to the letter and didn't take any form of credit etc until after I received my certificate. I did take the opportunity to upgrade my bank account to a normal current account quite early on though, with the same provider (Natwest Step Account to Current Account) though only because they kept asking. I didn't have an overdraft facility (and still don't 8 years later).

One question, if you're thinking that you're lucky and still have the debts whilst looking for a mortgage, are you really in a position to afford a mortgage, or is this just another debt?

    Hi,

There is a loan and a overdraft, I have moved quite recently but to an already previous address i have got the electoral roll form here ready to send off as that is the only negative on my account as well as not having a high level of credit, the reason i ask i defaulted on them both when i was 18 and stupid but i'm now update and all the payments. but is it possible the lender has only filed this debt with one of the CRA's (Call credit) and not the others? if so would me signing the electoral role now show those defaults on experian and equifax? Thanks for all your help :)
