    Have to say, even though it is an 8 hour train ride to Blackpool for me i'd much rather go there. I've never been, it is cheap and cheerful, lots of beach (and donkeys!) and one of my favourites - candy floss!

    I'm not a 'big city' person, i'd rather go somewhere a bit smaller.

    I flew to Stanstead from blackpool a year or so ago.. Its like a war time air raid shelter. It started to hailstone when we was there... We had to duck for cover !

    Mind you the flights were dead cheap for you southerners !

    Shame there aren't better flights into Blackpool, Thomson Fly only seem to do Alicante.
