LOL maybe we should go abroad! Poland and bratislava are meant to be cheap :beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
BlackpoolI think anywhere that doesnt have a coach station or railway station should be rejected really- in the cae of the peak district in particular. Im from up that way, and it would be at least into Manchester/ Sheffield or similar in order to get another train out to chapel-en-le-frith etc.
Im happy to come to blackpool - I can fly up on ryanair.
In saying that everytime Ive been to blackpool its been a spending nightmare  Although it can be done cheap with bag of chips and stick of rock to last the whole day etc.
I do think any of us who are bringing kids might find blackpool tricky- theres
just so much that kids can demand there!!! depends if your kids are trained DFWs or not I suppose! LOL
The kids will be staying at home!! I don't fancy wrangling a 2 yr old and a baby that far from home!! lol!Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Scotland (Edinburgh, Glasgow?)Went to Scarborough two years ago and it was a 5 1/2 hour drive. If DH had been driving it would have been 7 hours :rotfl:
Anything further south than that is too far for me.
I have a small house but huge garden and live 10 minutes from a huge beach on the Fife coast which has a kids mini rope assault course and you can borrow their big brick BBQ's. Hint hint hint hint.:rotfl:
Unfortunately my kids would have to come with me as DH works nights and is self employed so if he doesn't work just to look after the kids so I can have a jolly it isn't very DFW is it?The person who moves a mountain begins by carrying small stones.

BlackpoolThis place sounds good in Leeds
Bondi Beach Bar
Say hello to the latest addition to Leeds' club scene - the Bondi Beach Bar. Formerly Planet Earth, the club's facelift - complete with beach hut-style interior and bikini-clad bar staff - may give the venue a more tropical feel, but it hasn't lost its cheesy appeal. A lively mix of students and fun seeking twenty and thirty somethings come here to shake their stuff on the famous revolving dance floor to the latest chart beats and golden oldies. The brilliant cocktail menu and cheap drink deals ensure that the good times continue all night long. If you're up for some unpretentious fun, this is the place to come.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

LondonInstead of meeting in the UK, how about overseas?????
Cheap flights to, say Barcelona, from most places in the UK would be cheaper than petrol or train fares to the other side of the country!
Good MSE thinking here. Bad thinking for the likes of me that are terrified of flying though ................0 -
LondonOkay - just read through the backlog of the thread and can see that its been mentioned before ......
I am skimming again!0
