Drying Onions?

Can anyone give advice how, without using a dessiscator, we can easily dry out onions so that we can bottle up them dried out for use at a later date please?

To be honest, without a food dehydrator I very much doubt you will get them dry enough to store.
I've tried to dry stuff in the airing cupboard before and it just goes mouldy.0
