Tooooooooooooo many forums
I hate it when websites 'over' catagorise, just because they can
I just know I want a TV, so i go to Daves TV website where I'm confronted with:
16:9 or 3:4
Plasma , LED or LCD
3D or 2D
Freeview, Freesat or Cable
didaaaaaa
didaaaaa
didaaaa
I dont know whether I want 3D or 2D, Plasma or LCD but I cant see any TVs until I tick all the boxes and in doing so filter out most TVs and end up looking at 2 TVs, and if i want to see any others i have to tick different boxes - Real frustration is that it's only trading from someones garage and could display the only 12 TVs they got alllllll on screen at same time
Forums are even worse - they used to be called "news groups" and "news" is for sharing but every time a category is made on a forum, 50% of readers are excluded, simply because readers may click/read/browse more than one forum but they simply wont click all the ones they would have read had they not been separated/segregated
Motoring 41,000 posts
Public Transport & Cycling 124 posts
Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking 6,000 posts
???
Just put them all in one forum and call it - errrrrrrrrmmmmmm - "Road Users"
I mean how difficult is it for people to read the posts they are interested in and ignore the ones they aren't
Mortgages & Endowments 55,000
Mortgages free wanna be 5,000 (thats not worth a forum - just put a sticky)
House Buying, Renting & Selling 75,000
If these were together I would browse the forum regularly, but i cant be bothered with the specifics
Apart from all that, I'm reluctant to post - Its very difficult to know where to post stuff, and in all cases the audience is too small to bother

When will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?

What do you mean its very difficult to know where to post stuff, a motoring question goes in the relevant thread, a question about a loan goes in the loans section. If the question covers 2 areas you decide which suitable section to post it and if need be let the Board Guides move it.0

......If the question covers 2 areas you decide which suitable section to post it .....
yeah - and the only people with interest and an answer only read the other 25 forums
brilliant!!!!
you made my point in a nutshell
in the good old days of news groups you could cross-post the question to any/all relevant forums/groups at same timeWhen will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?0
