SOA Calculator - feedback

Options
Hi All

I haven't posted here for ages. I wrote the SOA calculator that is widely used here and on at least one other debt management discussion board elsewhere.

The calculator is here http://www.stoozing.com/msoc/soacalc.php but you can also get to it from http://www.makesenseofcards.com/msoc/soacalc.php

Every now and then I do a quick search here to see if it is being used and to see if there are any problems.

I noticed one recent post saying that users should remove all the HTML tags otherwise it won't copy here properly. When it was designed, the "Format for MSE" button created all the correct HTML code to ensure that it formatted perfectly when posted here. Is that no longer the case? I will do a test but would appreciate any comments or feedback about formatting or any other questions/issues you want to raise.

Looks fine to me if copied and pasted exactly as it should be. Removing the HTML will screw it all up!

However, if anyone is having problems let me know :)

New users on this board are not permitted to post weblinks so need to be told to remove the "Created using the SOA calculator at www.stoozing.com."
Might this be the cause of the html confusion? It is a pity this affects new users who are the very ones likely to be uncertain about using these forums anyway.

Ah I see - it may be that. I recall MSE changed its rules. Perhaps I can find a way round that :) . I might change it so that it isn't a URL but is just some 'text'.

It is definitely the "removing link" requirement that people are referring to for new posters.
