They also regularly have offers on good loo roll - about 40 rolls for just over a tenner which last ages too.
I'll have some cheese please, bob.
  • Baked beans are cheaper in supermarkets when on 4 for £1 offer.
I generally buy cream, squirty cream, large pots onken yoghurt, Belgian waffles, ISB croissants, single use 'rubber' gloves, foil, cling film, chocolate brownie mix - it is the BEST in the world!!!
remember they don't take credit cards.

Take a smartphone with you and check prices before you buy. Spirits and liqueurs are rarely better value in Costco than in supermarkets. I've been a member for 5 years and have bought 1 bottle of whiskey in that time. ;)

Peanuts aren't cheaper either, and ditto crisps (what with the offers in supermarkets).

Costco is a lot cheaper for:

    toilet rolls
    foil and cling film
    free range eggs
    coffee

  • I buy -

    chicken breasts
    Butter
    Yogurts
    Books as gifts
    Cheese
    Fajita seasoning

Other things are only worth it if they're on offer

Just be aware that the chicken isn't free range (in case that's important to anyone).

    Agree on cheese.

remember they don't take credit cards.

They now accept Amex, so I get nectar points on my shop there. There is a also a costco cashback amex available for an annual fee.

johnnie Walker black label is £20.99 atm and makes a nice present!
we regularly buy own brand bottled water, Lurpak spreadeable (£2.99/KG right now), veetee rice, shower gel, cat litter, toilet and kitchen roll when on offer. I especially recommend the mince and steaks.
we almost always come home with a 12 pack of danish pastries or the delicious almond croissants, they never get frozen.....

As ever be aware of supermarket prices and look out for specials, the clothing dept often has great bargains TVs are sometimes very keenly priced (including a 5yr guarantee) and we have even bought a tent there.

Remember, anything you don't like can be returned for a true no quibble refund with no real time limit (except Computers and Tvs)

I can't bear their sponge cake. It's about 97% icing sugar!

I agree. It tasted very dry to me.

Another vote for the danish pastries great value. £2.99 for 12. Croissants are great as well. There Kirkland own brand stuff is usually good. I also buy postage stamps, I think the discount is 5% off of face value, they come in 60s so handy to save a little in the run up to Xmas.
