Tax Refund

in Cutting tax
Filed my return online and 2 days later I was able to claim a refund of £1938 as I pay tax under CISand had payed to much .The repayment has been stuck on "payment pending" for 8 days now,sually it is issued within a few days.Are HMRC taking longer to pay out now or is it likely its going through security checks which I have found out there doing a lot more of now.Anyone with experience of this have anyideas how long it will be before they release the payment Thanks
