I have been paying off debts for 30 months and it's very tiring. I have also become complacent as my debt reduces and thought I had done it all! Last week, I set myself a challenge to reduce outgoings further and I won!
1) Re-checked Elec/Gas supplier. I discovered that if I changed Powergen tarrif from ONLINE SAVER to ONLINE SAVER SILVER 2, I would save £113 pa
2) Phoned telewest to cancel. I have Broadband, Phone and TV. With extras I pay £38 pcm. They upgraded my call package and reduced package to £22.53 pcm, saving me £15.47 pcm
3) Opened new bank a/c with Halifax in DS name. Will get £100!
4) Opened bank a/c with Nationwide. Will get £100
5) Opened bank a/c with A&L. Will get 2 x £50
6) Have applied for Council Tax re-banding
Feels great that I'm back on track!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why not have a go yourself, might be worth re-visiting?
