do i reply to this letter? dmp advice please

Options
I've entered into a DMP with step change and my first payment to them is December 1st.
My largest debt is a barclays loan. Just received a letter saying they've defaulted me ( obviously I expected this) and will be charged £ 5. 58 daily for being in arrears.

I've already wrote to them informing them of the dmp . Should I write again?

Are you sure it is an actual default or a notice of a default? from my experience Barclays tend not to default as they like to make money from charging people interest on DMP's.
Send a copy to step change and keep it for your own records.
I would also send a letter asking them to freeze interest and charges.
If they are charging you £5.58 it would suggest that you have not actually been defaulted.
  • Sorry your right it's a notice of a default. I'm so clueless I didn't realise it wasn't an actual default!
Thank you for your advice, I will do as you suggest x
