RBS loan problem

background: we have a current account with the RBS. we took out a loan for x £'s. we had a crap time with the bank defaulting on payments and charging us into overdrawn status on a regular basis, so we moved accounts to the Alliance & Leicester. we now have a current account with the RBS and the A&L. ALL our direct debits and standing orders are now through the A&L account. recently we've hit rock bottom with our money, and are struggling to make payments due to a lack of overtime. on a number of occasions, we've cancelled standing orders and direct debits to give us some breathing space. at the beginning of the month, we cancelled the RBS LOAN, which is setup to come out of the A&L account. we were then waiting for a phone call or mail to ask us why the payment hasn't been recieved, but nothing has happened. In the meantime, my daughter got a payment from my medical insurance concerning her recent stay in hospital (which is part of the cause of our financial problems) and I put this £400 into our RBS account. THE RBS HAVE TAKEN THE LOAN PAYMENT OUT OF THAT MONEY! £380 HAS GONE INTO THIER COFFERS, AND LEFT THE ACCOUNT VERY NEARLY BARE. if I hadn't of put another £200 in from an ebay sale of a watch recently, the account would have gone overdrawn today, as my wife wrote a cheque for our shopping, which we've not done for 2 weeks, for £100.CAN THE RBS DO THAT? I'M GOING TO CALL THE BANK FROM WORK FIRST THING, AND DEMAND THEY REFUND THE MONEY AND ENTER INTO SOME SORT OF PAYMENT PLAN TO PAY OFF THE ARREARS OF PAYMENT. IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I CAN DO?thanks for reading. very very annoyed at this time

You have to check your loan T&Cs, but I wouldn't be surprised to see them say they can do this, it is also fairly standard practice for credit card companies as well.0
