Thinking ahead

Hi all

Just thinking ahead.. we are gonna file for BR before Xmas (hopefully). That is me and my husband.

I am expecting our 2nd child in April so IPA would change whilst I am on mat leave as no child care costs.. not sure how long it even takes to set one up.. ? I am going back to work in Nov and would have child care costs for 2 kids which would not leave any surplus.. according to my figures but OR may have other ideas..

I spoke to CCCS who thought that we currently have a surplus of around £150.. but in Nov with 2nd child care costs this would leave zero....

My question is if IPA stops in Nov due to this.. what happens if we ever get an increase in income after this.. say a few months later??

Thanks :)

The IPA then is reassessed and you could be required to pay again.

May be better to go bankrupt just before you are in a position where you have no IPA. That way you could get away without one. You have to do the maths, but calculate the effects of returning to work soon and waiting till discharge.
