So excited, have to share!!

On Monday my sons school are having a long list of VIP's visit including Prince Charles, Jamie Oliver, Raymond Blanc, Mo Farah, Jess Ennis, Daley Thompson and Victoria Pendleton. They are visiting to celebrate the fact that the school has been in the top 10% most improved schools in the county for the past 3 years and that they also have a programme running in which they grow their own food and the school chef prepares healthy meals for the lunches.
My son is one of 12 who has been picked to work along side Raymond Blanc and Jamie Oliver while preparing and cooking 2 dishes with Prince Charles and the others watching and asking questions.
I am so proud of him. He's had a tough year this year with one thing and another and this simply recognises the hard work that he has put in. The icing on the cake is that he is a pretty talented 400m runner and meeting members of team GB is the best prize he could possibly receive.

Such a proud mummy moment! :D:D

Well he had a fantastic day. Spent the morning with Raymond Blanc as his sous chef!!
Got a brief visit from Prince Charles and Jamie Oliver who were both impressed with his dishes.

    Unfortunately I'm not invited :(

The school had a film crew and Matt Baker visit on Thursday from Countryfile and did some filming, they did interview him and film him during his food tech lesson, apparently it will be aired in February. They did say that they would be back on Monday so I don't know if it's for countryfile again or a different programme
