Pushchair Trader VIP?

Hi, I have noticed that Pushchair Trader run loads of giveaways and you can enter for free but they ask you to sign up (as a paid VIP) and state that '92% of our competitions have been won by our VIPs'

I was wondering if there are any NON VIP entrants out there who have won with them. I used to enter lots of their comps but stopped after never winning. I refuse to pay for subscriptions just to enter comps. Any thoughts?
:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea

  • They say themselves that something like 91% of their prizes are won by VIPs. it is probably because they put in (I can't remember how many) automatic entries for the VIPs - but you could enter as many times manually - I think it stops at around 26 entries per comp. I decided to shell out £10 for a year because my DD is expecting in January and comp entries take away knitting time - I guess it's convenience for me. There again, if everyone was a VIP and had 25 entries there'd be no better odds than if everyone put in one entry!
  • I also paid the £10 last year for a year's membership but have not won. My subscription is up for renewal soon and im wondering whether to resubscribe to my membership. still undecided.
    wondering what other members of MSE think?
    Just about to give up!

    Your chances are slimmer obvioulsy 25 to 1 entries.

    However i wouldnt pay a penny to join a site to try and win and think its totally wrong personally, but there again i dont enter these kind of comps,
    I wouldnt join and pay a site purely to enter comps, as there are tons of the exact same prizes to be ha dfor free elsewhere..

    If youre after baby stuff try GREAT COMPETITIONS, they have several kiddie mags comps on their boards and they are free.
    They also run, footy comps (i won 2 weeks ago) video games, holidays etc..

    GOTO THIS PAGE AND SEE WHAT I MEAN --
    http://www.greatcompetitions.co.uk/index.asp --:eek::eek:
    Tons ending soon:eek::eek:
    (they are all posted on here but i just go to that link above once a week and enter any i havent done, it also tells you if you have already entered so no way of getting disqual)
    Still comping, after 2 heart attacks 4th feb & 6th feb, and a stent put in.. 45 years old only:eek:

    Thanks guys - I think it works both ways but I personally wouldn't pay to enter for more chances - I believe that if I prize is meant to be yours then it is meant to be yours. I have entered a daily Nisa comp once when 100 entries per person were allowed and I won - so obviously that prize was meant for me!

    That's the philosophy I go by I as well ;)

    With the Nisa ones, I enter once and if I remember or bookmark it, I go back enter it as many times as I can be bothered

    I feel this is a con. I signed up as they sate VIPs get to test products. Ive applied for every product I am suited too and not once been chosen now they expect me to renew for another year. I have not won anything either.

    I wonder how many people they have conned into paying the annual fee and gave nothing in return.
    Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.
