Am I right to feel annoyed because I was rejected for the job of Admin Assistant/Data Entry at the company where I'm sent on the ESA work programme due to lack of EXPERIENCE?
I can't get my head around the fact that I'm in the work support and the company itself where it's mandatory that I attend turned me down for a role where they have the means to train me, and where it is their job to help me get a job? This was a couple of months ago, but I never really thought about it too much. They said as a person I was fine and I do have above average computer skills, so why didn't they take the step to offer me training? It would have meant one less person on benefits after no more than a few days trial. Bizarre.

I think you are right to be annoyed. Did you ask for precise feedback and how they intend to assist you to get a suitable role?
Good luck0 -
A company is not obliged to offer any reason for turning you down. Whilst you can request feedback you can't make them give it.
That said they have offered a reason of "lack of experience". That may well be true. These days I'm afraid there are many people applying for jobs for which they are well overqualified. It may well be other candidates were more experienced so what they said to you was true in relative terms.0 -
i had a similar experience applied for a job went for an interview .. basicaly had done job before i got injured , was told there and then i passed the interview but they would need to talk to hr about my medical quesitonaire and to see what ajustments could be made two days later came back and said to the agency i didnt pass the vetting.... i was well annoyed
